From a young age she was always keen to act. She attended a drama college in Glasgow and then gained practical experience with the Patchwork Youth Theatre Group in Glasgow.

All the hard work paid of when she finally got her first role in 2001 in the BBCs childrens series Stacey Stone.

She also auditioned to play Roxy in the Channel 4 show Hollyoaks but sadly she was turned down, though two weeks later the production company contacted her and told her they wanted to write a special part for her. That was how she finally got the part in Hollyoaks as Natalie Osborne in 2003 in which her year with Hollyoaks earned her two nominations at the British Soap Awards.
