Saoirse Ronan got her start on multiple episodes of two Irish television series, The Clinic (as Rhiannon Geraghty) and Proof (as Orla Boland, a role that she took over from Emma Bolger, who played Orla in the first season), from 2003-2005. Her first major motion picture appearance to be filmed was in the movie Death Defying Acts, although its release has been delayed until 2008. Ronan will appear in numerous roles in both 2007 and 2008, including starring roles in film adaptations of Atonement and The Lovely Bones.
