An American soccer club, the Houston Dynamo was founded in 2005 after the MLS relocated the original
San Jose Earthquakes to Houston. They won the MLS in 2006 and 2007. Their fiercest rivals are
FC Dallas.
The Houston Dynamo were drawn against Mexican power FC Atlante for the 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals during the draw held at CONCACAF headquarters in New York City.
