Originally a model, he attended the Lee Strasberg Acting Institute on a full scholarship. His first big acting role was winning the part of Scott Chandler on the popular ABC soap opera All My Children in 1999. Head writer Agnes Nixon paired him with new character Becca Tyree (Abigail Spencer); however the pairing proved lukewarm compaired to an alternative triangle between Becca, Leo duPres (Josh Duhamel) and Greenlee Smythe (Rebecca Budig). March exited the show in 2000.
He again worked with Abigail Spencer in the independent film Campfire Stories in 2001. Shortly after, he booked the Canadian science fiction series Mutant X, playing Jesse Kilmartin. He remained with this show until it was cancelled in 2004.
In late July 2005, he returned to daytime television on All My Children's sister soap One Life to Live, playing the new character Nash Brennan, who paired with "Tess" and alternate personality of Jessica Buchanan (Bree Williamson).
Forbes is a son of Dr. Peter March, philosophy professor from Saint Mary's University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
