An English soccer club, Aston Villa F.C. was founded in 1874. They are based in the city of Birmingham in west midlands of England and they play in the English Premier League. They won the English top flight in 1893–94, 1895–96, 1896–97, 1898–99, 1899–1900, 1909–10, 1980–81 and won the FA Cup in 1887, 1895, 1897, 1905, 1913, 1920, 1957. Their fiercest rivals are Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion.
The Hammers will do business at £18m for the England striker and can press on with their plans after the resignation of Alan Curbishley this week.
