Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Alessandro Juliani made his television debut at the age of 11, as Julio, the piano playing street kid on the 1986 MacGyver Christmas Special. Critics and audiences raved, but they would have to wait almost a decade before Juliani returned to the small screen, showing his range as a unibrow transsexual alien in the short lived but imaginative television series Welcome to Paradox.

In the years between those two roles, Juliani studied opera and voice at McGill University in Montreal, pursuing a curriculum that culminated in a lead role in the opera Albert Herring at the prestigous Britten/Pears Festival in Aldeburgh, England.

Since returning to Vancouver in 1999, he has worked steadily in film, television, theater, opera, and most recently as a composer and sound designer.

His on air credits include the Sci Fi Channel mini-series Legend of EarthSea, the telefilm Meltdown, the showtime original series Jeremiah, a recurring role as Druid on Dark Angel, the Sci Fi Original mini series event Steven Spielberg Presents Taken, Stagate SG-1, Seven Days, the horror feature Final Destination and Anne-Marie Fleming's award winning short film Blue Skies for which he received a Leo Nomination.
